Hi everyone, my son lost his charger to his 4th generation ipod charger is there any method with other cables or usbs that can act a substitute to charge it?

If by "charger," you mean the USB docking cable, you can buy a replacement. A 4th gen nano uses the older type (not the new "Lightning" connector)

Did you lose the charger base, or the cord? I'm not as familiar with the newer iPods, but I'm guessing one end is a USB and the other plugs into the Nano? So you could use the computer as the charger temporarily until you can purchase a new charger base.
Temporarily you can plug into the computer. Then go purchase a new charger.
