But the article you found that talks about this relates to a facility that no long exists, so it would not surprise me if this feature is gone. It is now very common for Apple's updated systems and apps to have fewer features than the old ones.

My hope was to use the same keynote presentations for my graphic/web design work on my iPad, laptop, and through my website for presenting work to clients. Since I can't do that, I think I'll simply scrap keynote for this project and use the portfolio on my website. Thanks Apple...

This one is for the beta keynote web app, which may not be relevant for what you want to do.
