YES. I have this question too. The outgoing ring/dial tone, when you're calling someone via FaceTime is loud and obnoxious and alerts people around me that I'm MAKING a FaceTime call--when I don't want to. There has to be a way to change the out-going FaceTime call sound.
Hello there, dlabc563.
The online Facetime User Guide provides the steps on how to change the default ringtone setting in Mac OS X Yosemite:
Set ringtones
You can set a default ringtone for all incoming calls, and change the ringtone or text tone for individual callers.
Change the default ringtone: Choose FaceTime > Preferences, then click the Ringtone pop-up menu and choose a new ringtone.
Change the ringtone for a caller: Edit the caller’s contact card in Contacts. For more information, see Edit contact info.
When you select a new ringtone or text tone, a preview of it plays unless your Mac is muted.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.
Thank's but this only changes the ringtone when somebody calls you (calling in), not when you are calling somebody (calling out) !?

Hello again, DLABC563.
Thanks for providing this additional information in regards to your question. The link referenced above provides the only features, related to ringtones, that are adjustable in the FaceTime application at this time.
Cheers,
Pedro.
