Ultra320 SCSI card support

We have a server with a large Ultra320 SCSI connected 12 bay Raid unit. It is connected with an ATTO UL5D card. The drivers will not load on Yosemite. Does anyone know of a card that would work as a replacement with drivers?

I have exactly the same issue. A very expensive SCSI Raid and an Atto UL5d which I need to use on an iMac 5k. I haven't found any other cards and I don't want to take the risk buying an PCIe to Thunderbolt chassis without the hope that it will actually work. Unless a 3rd party writes the drivers for it, I don't think there is much hope.

I had the system working fine on Lion - haven't tried mountain lion yet.

The next issue is that if you take the risk and replace the Raid with a thunderbolt raid, you then read that Intel might perhaps discontinue Thunderbolt because it hasn't taken off so much on Windows PC. Does that mean a Thunderbolt Raid purchase now and a future Raid purchase after Thunderbolt? I don't like purchasing Raids. 😟

Seems to be working fine with the latest available ATTO drivers for the UL5D card. (Maybe you'll need to register for downloads.)

But you have to disable code signing check for kernel extensions from Terminal app with:

sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"

For me it seems to working fine on the last Xserve with OS X Yosemite v10.10.1 and SCSI Backup Library.

Dear Sunni, you are indeed a lifesaver. After several month still on mavericks I was now able to upgrade to 10.10.5. I did a little research about the above mentioned sudo command.

It is a security feature, so everyone should be aware of what the command will do.

Thx again Sunni!
