Is my iPad charger fake

hhello I bought a 12w adapter from eBay the seller said it was 100% official I even emailed to be sure and got the same that it is an official Apple adpter but I've had 2 and they have both blown up on me are they fake

II've tried upload pics but basically everything looks normal I just can't find the serial number anywhere

tthe writing on the bottom plate is light grey and says "

the adpter doesn't look perfectly white either it is a greyish white

iPad, iOS 8.1, iPad retina display and cellular

I'm not absolutely sure about that, because I don't know how long data will remain in the flash drive (on the iPad) without any power. Maybe someone else knows whether data will remain a long time without power ... or it requires a minimum amount of power all the time. There are flash drives where you can disconnect from power and have data stay. You can't go on some assumption here ... you have to know this "for sure".

That would make a difference if the app was saving documents to iCloud. For example, I have Pages and it saves my documents to iCloud. Therefore, it would depend on whether this app you're using did that. If you don't know, you could write to the developer and ask.

I have several apps that save to iCloud, and that is something different than the "iCloud Backup", just so you know.

Unfortunatly i didnt set icloud up because i orginally locked my first iphone because i forgot my details and lost the copy i wrote down so was worried about making the same mistake but wish i had now 😟 i have emailedthe app makers to see if they can retrive it for me tho thanks for all your help

Yes they would survive, provided that you don't screw up in the procedure. Note that iFixIt rates the deed as DIFFICULT (i.e., not for the faint of heart or 10-thumbed individuals). They also have all the stuff you need to do it including the heating pads and, naturally, the new battery. The main risk is cracking the glass.

Do you have to use batteries on your USB thumb drive? No? Well, the storage on an iPad is the same thing, just bigger (in some cases). Things remain there forever, even if the battery is deader than King Tut.

My friend has changed ipad bateries before so he knows i couldnt do it myself and i my screen isnt a worry because it fell of my bed and cracked but i have the replacement for that already im more worried about if il get my data and why it wont stay on for longer than a second even tho its on charge

hello thankyou everyone for the help i went to apple yesterday who checked my ipad and my battery was healthy i have about 1-2yrs left of the battery life and the cycle was a software problem which did fix the ipad but today it has started again and im worried what the problem is if apple said it was fine.

AND ... what did Apple say last Friday about the charger you got from them? You said, in another post, that you were having it checked out by Apple.

I Couldn't get to Apple store something came up so I booked another for Friday but wanted to check if they were actually genuine ones or not

TThe women I bought it from said it was 100% genuine so I trusted and now I'm starting to think its not because i can't find the serial number on either of them

The charger must output at least TWO amperes for big iPads or ONE ampere for a mini. Many vendors sell compatible chargers, just be sure to check the output capacity.

Tbh I have no idea I just know that my iPhone 5w charger didn't charge my iPad so I bought a 12w charger that has blown up
