Feb 24, 2015 6:59 PM in response to Johnlg3by tommyteutonic,I spoke with Apple about this issue with my iPad 2. They showed me where my daughter was loading up many apps on her iPhone and they were somehow loaded onto my iPad. This was eating up memory. I deleted the unnecessary apps and the machine works good.

Mar 3, 2015 11:22 PM in response to tommyteutonicby gadgetmartyr,My problem is that iTunes has "backup" and "restore" features that do not perform backup or restore.
I always backup a device before test driving new software. After trying iOS 8 for five minutes I found it made my iPad2 unusable. Safari is incapable of tabbed browsing and appears to cache nothing except the single active tab. Wow who thinks that is good idea?
No problem, I'll just restore it to the iOS 6 that I was using yesterday. NOPE, it is still iOS 8 after a restore. I suppose it is my fault for trusting Apple to not f<ck me with their idiot proof b<ll$hit upgrade to obsolescence strategy.

Mar 4, 2015 3:36 AM in response to gadgetmartyrby rhogan70,★HelpfulApple's respect for their customers is even less than Microsoft. Fortunately, there are good quality non-Apple tablet options. Now that Apple has rendered my iPad 2 to be obsolete, I can try one of the competitors. I will never buy or recommend another Apple product.

May 8, 2015 10:38 PM in response to tommyteutonicby neicej,That is what it looks like to me, the people at Apple can't let this level of junk by accident, they just want more money.

May 9, 2015 12:06 AM in response to Johnlg3by stefanus92,Same goes with my iPad 3, iOS 8 destroyed my iPad, it was fine on iOS 7 and i desperately in love with my ipad, but not anymore when the iOS 8 hit my ipad and slowed it down a lot. some ppl might have no problem with their ipad, and some of them have, whatever the **** is actually going on it just doesnt make any sense, for a big international company such as Apple shouldve created the iOS upgrades that compatible for all of their product, if its not, they can stop their product for upgrading like what they did on iPhone 4.
But lets forget it, apple just hate us all who doesnt buy their latest ipads or iphones, they are forcing you to do that or if you still dont wanna, then go with ur useless iPad or iPhone.
Oh and yes, me too, i wont buy apple product anymore in the future.

May 9, 2015 12:58 AM in response to Johnlg3by Becneel,It seems that after each update in IOS 8, you have to do a complete factory restore to make it work or things don't function or you get a big performance hit.
DId you reset and erase at all ?

May 9, 2015 4:57 AM in response to alex2478by rhogan70,Look Bozo (alex2478) - when Apple released iOS 8, and I made the mistake of installing it, my iPad 2 was two years old. If Apple started selling the iPad 2 three years earlier, they were STILL selling it 3 years later. I got two good years out of my iPad before Apple decided it was time to destroy it in their efforts to force me to buy a later model.

May 9, 2015 8:14 AM in response to Johnlg3by vanes_neo,apple is doing the updates for older devices to work slower, and you ran for the last generation

Jun 5, 2015 10:16 PM in response to alex2478by CheetahCats,Unacceptable response. iPad 2 devices were actively being sold on the market up to 14 months ago.

Jun 5, 2015 10:18 PM in response to Becneelby CheetahCats,You find this approach acceptable? It is absolutely unacceptable, and is one of the reasons why most business organizations do not allow Apple iPad products onto their enterprises.
