Keynote PDF won't render the font Aleo correctly

So I'm having an issue with Keynote exporting PDFs. When I use the font Aleo it displays properly in app, but when I export to PDF, the font becomes small and the tracking is too high, causing the text to spread.

Here is the in-app display (top) compared to the PDF export (bottom).

And ideas? I'm finding that this is only happening with Aleo (that I've noticed) but isnt happening if I make an Illustrator Adobe .PDF using the same text. That will render fine.

I notice that with this font, when I look at each .otf file in the finder, the preview pane shows the font with the same bad tracking. No other fonts have this issue. I've dumped and redownloaded/reinstalled the font with the same issue.

Is there a bug that causes fonts to have their tracking blown out?

Temporary Fix!

I removed all of the OTF versions of the font. Converted the OTF font to TTF and then reinstalled. That seemed to make the font work when converted to PDF thru Keynote.

Note: the font was working as OTF if I created an Illustrator PDF or an InDesign PDF.
