Nov 4, 2014 4:29 AM in response to equinox1100by Carolyn Samit,Hi ..
For Bluetooth.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
Then re "pair" the Bose Link.
For the Wi-Fi try diagnostics. Instructions here > Wi-Fi: How to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity
For the iPhone.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If by speaking, you are referring to Dictation, open System Preferences > Dication & Speech then select the Text to Speech tab. Try a different Speaking Rate.
Picture editing depends on which software you are using ???

Nov 4, 2014 7:24 PM in response to equinox1100by seanpdixon,I am having the same issue and it is maddening. I have reset the PRAM, the SMC, and deleted the file Bluetooth.plist. Nothing is working. I am running Yosemite. This wasn't a problem until recently. I am guessing it has something to do with the OS upgrade.
My first thought was that it was the speakers. I dropped $200 for Dre Beats speaker and the same thing. It isn't the speakers.

Nov 5, 2014 11:37 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby btakamiya,Thank you. This worked for me. I was having issues connecting any BT devices (speakers, mouse, iPhone) to my Air, but after I deleted the file, everything is working now. Thanks again.

Nov 6, 2014 3:51 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby equinox1100,Hi Carolyn,
Thankyou for your suggestions... I tried them all out and unfortunately ALL my issues are still unresolved.
Bluetooth... I deleted the file emptied the trash, I then reset the SMC and the problem was still there,
I have tested my speaker with my iPhone bluetooth and its fine so I know its not the speakers fault...
I think ill just give up using bluetooth on my comp.
Phone... Tried everything to fix it on my own, reset, restored... using a Nokia i bought now just for calls...
think its time i traipsed up to the genius bar.

Nov 6, 2014 3:55 AM in response to seanpdixonby equinox1100,Hi yeah sounds like we have the same issue...
I'm using the bluetooth on my iPhone for music now and its working fine.
but if my computer was my only source for music I would be screwed...
hope you have some alternative there.
good luck!

Nov 6, 2014 8:12 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby Rynoski,Thanks for the advice on deleting the file as you instructed. My Logitech Z600 speakers were cutting in and out. After following your instructions for bluetooth, my speakers are behaving flawlessly.

I am having the same issue and it is maddening.
I may have found another possible solution. I received a replacement Beats Pill and went through everything included in this thread to resolve the dropping connections, only to have the issue persist. I did find that the issue appears to be limited to iTunes for me. Video audio from YouTube never dropped. I turned off Handoff (Allow handoff between this Mac and iCould devices) located in Settings>General (bottom of menu screen). I haven't had a drop while playing iTunes in the past hour. Hopefully it will stick.

May 9, 2015 10:16 AM in response to seanpdixonby David Cox1,I've tried the trick of removing the bluetooth link on my macbook pro and then repairing it, but that hasn't worked.
I am using a MacBook Pro from 2013 running Mountain Lion. The speaker is a new Bose Soundlink Mini. I have played music from iTunes, Youtube, VLC player, and Quicktime player. The speaker can be right next to the computer or out on the deck, no walls or a window, no other wireless devices, and there are still drop outs. It's freaking maddening to pay $200 for something that Apple cannot support.
I play music without issue from my Samsung Galaxy tablet. Not a single drop out, but all my music is on my Macbook....
Has anyone been successful resetting the other setting?
Thanks!

May 31, 2015 11:58 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby David Cox1,Just a quick update. I tried this again on May 9th and it actually worked. A couple of weeks later I heard the dropouts and clicks, so I deleted that file again and now the soundlink is working perfectly.
I am not sure why it would happen again, but now I've bookmarked this page and will be able to address it immediately instead of just cursing it for a couple of days before I find this page again!
Thanks for the tip!

Jul 31, 2015 9:40 PM in response to seanpdixonby david.at.gigawatt.com,Disabling Handoff solved this issue for me too!
To clarify, if playing your iTunes music from your Mac through bluetooth-connected speakers (I used the Creative D80) cuts in and out all the time, but other music sources (like your iPhone) can play through those speakers over bluetooth just fine, try disabling Handoff at the bottom of the General page in your MAC System preferences app -- I misunderstood and spent a *while* looking for this in the ITUNES Preferences...
I was actually playing music (intermittently) while I disabled Handoff and the problem did NOT go away ...yet. Only after I rebooted the Mac did the problem go away. And it has not returned. I'm SO loving listening to my music at night again!
THANK YOU for helping me fix this -- I too was tearing my hear out wondering why my thousand dollar computer couldn't play music on my $100 speakers some nights, while other nights it worked fine.

Aug 7, 2015 11:01 AM in response to equinox1100by Jake and Marcie,Same exact problem with the same machine here. We've had problems connecting any bluetooth devices while wifi is on. Currently struggling to play music smoothly on a UE Meagboom. All iPhones and samsung machines connect to the speaker without problem while running wifi. All of our macbook pros do not work. This struggle has been going on for over 2 years...So frustrating!!!!!
