BootCamp Driver issue on macbook pro mid 2010

Hello, i am trying to install a dual boot osx/win XP on my macbook pro 7.1 mid 2010, i partitioned the ssd drive in half and used bootcamp to install windows, all fine except for some drivers, i can't find them anywhere, they are:

- Audio Device on HIgh Definition Audio Bus

- System management bus controller

- Video controller (VGA compatible) (this should be a nvidia 320m)

- Coprocessor

The have the classic yellow triangle symbols meaning that there's no driver installed, so where i can find these drivers ? I own the original SnowLeopard DVD there seem to be some drivers inside but wont't install...

Form my uses i need full graphic acceleration, so at least i need the nvidia 320m driver, i thins that using driver from nvidia site isn't a good idea, i should use apple drivers so if you can provide them i will appreciate...

Thank you, but this is not very useful to me, i'm using SnowLeopard with BootCamp 3.1, otherwise newer versions won't support XP, i just installed the drivers from nvidia main site, it works, but i lost the backlight capability, now it's at full light, a lillte dim would be better but you know...

Any other suggestion ?

PS: I choose macbook pro for it's lightweight, it's durability, power and long term battery life. I will use osx, but i still need xp to work, so if there's a solution, official or not, it's welcome.

Once you have XP installed, it is independent of BC. My suggestion is to try the 4.0.4033 drivers.

From Bootcamp.xml file for 4.0.4033 (there is also a 64-bit version in the same package).

Yes, but you downloaded it from... where? I'm sorry but i'm already a win and linux user, but i'm entered the mac world just from a week... nubee eh eh

PS: I already tried to install the "setup.exe" from the content of the dvd that i own, but i won't work... tried some times, it install but when i check there are always the missing drivers.

With the Nvidia site driver i resolved the vga and audio problem, but if i can have everything fixed i will prefer...

Nov 4, 2014 3:00 PM in response to dukeluca86

You can't believe, it fixed ALL the other problems except for the vga... It's in someway ironic...

Well, with the nvidia driver it work but screen light is burning my retina... without possibility to tune it, without this driver i can tune brightness but i have no acceleration at all... very frustrating...

If there's some bullets left it's time to use them.

Nov 4, 2014 3:32 PM in response to Loner T

No, i installed as you told me, following step by step, but it not worked, but... i fixed it !

I used a previous version of the driver, a beta (i was a little wet behind my ears, you know beta...) the version is this:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-winxp-267.24-beta-driver.html

I found the solution here, on another discussion, the link is this:

Graphic card 320M problem under Bootcamp Windows XP

Now there's no unknown devices in the device list and the acceleration works great (i tried with a 3d game, should test better) and have the control of the backlight regulation... not bad at all in just a day of work...

Loner T, thanks a lot for you help and support, in a way or another you have put me on the right way.

Cheers
