I have 2 friends that are using earthlink send me e-mails and I am not receiving them. When I send to them they get them. Anyone have any idea why this could be happening?
Who is your ISP or email account provider for your email account?
Are you using the Mail.app to access your email account and if so, have you checked the account's Inbox mailbox via webmail access using a browser to see if the messages are available on the server but not downloaded by the Mail.app?
If these messages are not available at the server, are the 2 friends receiving a return email error message indicating the messages they sent were not accepted by the incoming mail server for your account account including the reason why?
In that case, it is possible the junk mail filter on the incoming mail server is marking their messages as spam and no notice would be provided in that situation.
This isn't likely but possible.
I suggest contacting .Mac support via the website providing all pertinent information including the email address for both friends.
I quit using Earthlink email at least a year ago. The quality of the emailing was just too poor and Earthlink is unresponsive.
I still have Earthlink ISP at one location and the quality of the service has become very poor recently. My upload speed had been cut in half and Earthlink is now sending their own error page with advertising rather than the default error page for unreachable domains.
I would urge you to quit Earthlink email service and get a free webmail accont such as G-mail. You won't be obligated to ISP based emailboxes.
Hi Thanks for responding.
I have a .mac account. The e-mails are not in my inbox when I check on the browser.
The sender is not getting them bounced back or an error message.
