how can I import .flac in iTunes ?

I downloaded music from HIGHRESAUDIO. The name of the data end with ".flac". When I try to to import these data nothing happens.

Have I to convert the data ? Is there a loss of quality ?

Flac files are not compatible with iTunes. If you want to play the tracks in iTunes you will need to convert them to Apple lossless to preserve audio quality. You will need an app such as XLD which is free to convert FLAC files to ALAC.
