Calendar resending Exchange meeting invitations every morning

I am using Calendar on Yosemite to manage my work Exchange calendar. I have a number of recurring daily meetings with a large number of attendees outside my organization. Every morning, my Mac resends the invitation to the meeting for that day, and everyone's inbox is flooded with unnecessary meeting invitations. There is no change to the meeting, so I don't know why it's being sent. And I am fairly confident this is not a problem on the Exchange side, because the invitations get sent when I turn on my computer, as far as I can tell.

Has anyone experienced Calendar being a bit "overzealous" on its invitations like this?

Same, and I can duplicate. Set up meeting via MS Outlook and invited an attendee. Attendee accepts and a notification shows up in iCal inbox or iOS Calendar inbox.

Click on "ok" in either application, and the meeting gets resent out.

Also happens if hitting snooze or dismiss on the iCal or iOS reminders.

Bloody annoying!

Any updates Apple? This is the third time over 5 years, that I've had this issue and with some remediation, I don't recall nor can find on the web, I was able fix. Now I'm stuck and none of my searches has provided any resolution options.

I have a case open with MS Office folks as well, as it started again after the latest MS Office upgrade to 15.38.

I had this happen to be this morning on iOS. Same situation with a reoccurring event scheduled with everyone in the company. The notification appeared on my iPhone 7 device, I swiped to clear it (multiple times) and was informed later from users in the company that they received the event forwarded to them from me each time.

I looked in my Sent folder and could see them there.

Have there been any updates to this?

Hey all,

We have this issue with iPhones and iPads affecting only some users on a recurring meeting. We are on Office 365 - switching some users to Outlook on iOS seems to help, but then that limits some other features of using the iOS native calendar. Nobody on Android is creating these meeting invites. They also get generated when the user does not have there notebook turned on (say when driving) so it definitely points to iOS as far as I can tell.

Any update? Apple help!? Please!

I'm having a very similar issue. Though it appears that invites are resent when I acknowledge in Calendar notifications re: the meeting. For example, if all users accept the meeting, Calendar shows a notification that all users have accepted and you can click OK to dismiss the notification. When I do that it sends the invite again. Very strange and very annoying for the people on my invites.

I have a very similar issue that sounds like the same root cause, and I've had this issue ever since Mac OS started supporting Exchange server;

For any *recurring* meeting that I organise, if I click the 'Snooze' button on the notification- all of the attendees are sent a meeting update.

Sounds like the same issue- and given that it's been around for over 5 years, I suspect it's not going to get resolved any time soon.
