Stop new windows from opening in current desktop?

I have a problem with an application that I use for work. It renders files which can take several minutes per batch. I try and do other work during that time period, but the rendering application creates all those pop ups, such as it will close one window of rendering and open up a new one automatically to continue. This keeps interrupting my other work and is severely annoying. Is there a way I can keep all windows related to that application in a single desktop so the new windows won't popup into a different window that I'm using?
