Iomega 3TB LDHD-UP3 USB3 drive won't mount

MacPro 3,1 OS 10.9.5

My Time Machine is on an external Iomega 3TB LDHD-UP3 USB3 drive - but it won't mount.

- It shows up in the USB hub in System Report - either in the normal USB2 hub - or my Inateck KT4004 USB3 PCI card's hub (in System Report)

- but it is not shown in Disk Utility.

- DiskWarrior doesn't find it.

- When I use "diskutil list" in Terminal it doesn't find it - it just shows the system disk.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Model 3,1 16GB ram

I assume you would use a PCIE USB3 card - what model? USB3 should be better with one now if it is s supported card under Mavericks.

.. thanks for your reply, but as I said in my question, I have an Inateck KT4004 USB3 PCI card which I have plugged the drive into, and it shows up in System Report on the USB3 bus, but does not mount, and is not visible in Disk Utility.

Does anyone have any ideas please?
