Connecting a wi-fi enabled Canon camera to my MacBook Pro using Apple Time Capsule.

I just purchased the new Canon Eos 6d DSLR camera. It is a wi-fi enabled camera. The Wireless LAN Setup menu appears on my camera screen: 3 options- find network or wps (pbc mode) or wps (pin mode). I cannot connect it to my network (using the 'find my network' option, even though it does list it on my camera. The camera finds my "infrastructure" network name but then asks me to enter either 8-63 ASCII # or a 64 hexadecimal characters or #. Even after reading the Canon booklet, I still don't understand how to connect to my network (Apple Time Capsule), so my MacBook Pro will recognize it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The TC does have WPS built in although it says it is only for printers and software rather than hardware based.. but it will still work.

Open the airport utility on your mac.. click on the TC so you can see the summary as below.

Go to the top menu area of airport utility and click Base Station, Add WPS Printer.

Click that.

You can then choose either method.. Pin or First Attempt.. ie have the camera ready.. select first attempt and then try and connect the camera by WPS and it should not require anything else.. the system will connect. If it fails try the pin method.

If the screenshots are blank squares tell me and I will post them via imgur .. as apple site is not running well.
