Iphone 5C with iOs 8.3> same problem: no color on screen; turned off zoom and it worked. Grayscale was turned off all the time, and I lost colors while I had iphone in my pocket while biking. It spontanously changed to grayscale and invert ed colors; no matter what I did, couldn't get colors back, until I turned off zoom. Apparently, by reading all these posts, there's a bad "connection" in iOs 8.x between zoom, grayscale and invert colors functions, ha ha. I'm glad I found this post, as my next step was to do a hard reset. Peace, Javier

I would back up and restore the software. If that doesn't help try restoring as a new device. If it continues, your device is under warranty, so take it to the Genius Bar to have it evaluated (make an appointment first).

2. Also try (First try a reset of the iPhone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot. )

If that doesn't work try the back up and restore that AmishCake suggests. Still no luck? Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
