Disable shutter sound on Japanese bought iPhone?

I bought an iPhone in Japan, not knowing at that time, that there - for legal reasins in Japan - is no possibility to disable the camera shutter sound.

Obviously, the basics are covered here. The silent switch and the settings all work as intended, except for the camera shutter sound.

Since I will only be using the phone in my home country in the EU, where it is not required by law to have a camera shutter sound, is there any legal way to bypass this? (I'm thinking if there is a setting or something that "regionalize" the phone, as is known from certain computer operating systems?)

Thanks for your response.

Sadly, this confirms my suspicion.

The really annoying thing about this, however, is that if I'm listening to music in the headphones, and I want to take a picture, the music pauses, just to play the shutter sound in the headphones! Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose for the forced shutter sound?

Oh well, I'll live with it for about a year, but I'll be sure not to buy my iPhone 6S in Japan next year. 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I honestly mean nothing negative by this, but unfortunately, your input wasn't helpful, as I already addressed this aspect in the original post.

The conclusion of the case is that I just live with it. It is still worth it, since I saved a lot of money by buying it in Japan, compared to the prices in my home country.
