Nov 6, 2014 7:16 AMby spudnuty,So that folder with the question mark inside means the Mac can't find a bootable OS. Usually means a hard drive failure.
Depending on your year, model, size and OS try booting with the "r" key pressed.
Heres a site about "Recovery Mode":

Often this means your hard drive is toast. Hopefully you've backed up.
