Am i able to use a different payment method if i am in family sharing?

I am in a family sharing group through iTunes store and app store. I do not want to charge the shared payment method, but instead pay with my own payment method. Am I able to do so? If so, How?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1

McDonald,

Yes. If you are not the Family Organizer, just put some credit on your own account by redeeming a gift card. Then purchases made by you will be charged against your credit rather than to the Organizer's credit card.

Are purchases made with a different payment method available for sharing? A member of my family made a very recent purchase, while I was setting up family sharing, on a different credit card. I can see much older purchases made on that card, but no recent purchases. I have checked to make sure they are not hidden, and I have sorted this person's purchases every way iTunes will allow. It's just not there. Are there some purchases that cannot be shared? These were songs sold as part of a playlist, not an album, as promotion for a television show.
