Q: I upgraded to yosemite and my router isn't recognized, how to resolve?

I'm using some other open wifi link.  My computer won't recognize my Belkin link

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

    Hi ..

     

    Restart the router.

     

    If that doesn't help, the network preferences may be corrupted as a result of upgrade to Yosemite.


     

    Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

     

    Type or copy paste the following:

     

    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

     

    Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.

     

    Restart your Mac.

     

     

    See if that makes a difference.

     

    Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.
