Q: Used Apple Pay with Uber and it charges an additional $2 each time, why?

I use Uber all the time, this past weekend every time it asked me if I wanted to pay with Apple Pay, I said yes then verified with my touchID. I got a separate charge for $2 every time. Does anyone know why? Is Apple Pay free to use or does it charge you extra with everything?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.1

Apple Pay is free to use, if Uber decides to charge an additional fee, that's on them.
