Only do that if you have cellular data otherwise you can get a lot of charges on your bills. And even then watch your data limits if you have them

This worked for me. Doing the hard reset rather than a soft reset helped resolve my issue. Thanks for the tip.

So I shut my phone off and I'm in Japan. Does that mean I can't use Snapchat??

Try shutting your phone all the way off and then when you turn it back on it will work again
