iCloud not recognising my apple ID as an iCloud account but I can log onto iTunes

iCloud does not recognise my iTunes account as a valid iCloud account. Where do I set this up. At no time during the install of iCloud on my PC did it mention setting up an iCloud account.

Hi, Mercier1.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

This sounds like you have a valid Apple ID, but it has never been used with iCloud. To use iCloud, you must first sign up via your Apple ID on an iOS device running iOS 5 or later. This can also be done on a Mac running OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later.

Once you have created an iCloud account via one of this listed ways above, you should be able to use it on your PC.

Cheers,
