Q: facetime unable to login and no any light on the camera

i'm using Yosemite 10.10 on my iMac and I seldom to use the facetime/ facetime camera.  I can found the camera under the system report which means it should be normal but it is no response on the cam (no light) when I launch facetime and photo booth app. And unable to login Facetime as well.

I have tried hard reset and input "sudo killall VDCAssistant" in the terminal, but still not working.

Please help.

PhotoBucket says your images have been moved or deleted, so I cannot see them.

    Nevertheless, try the following:

    (1) If restarting Mac does not fix,

    (2) use Photo Booth to check that your camera is enabled as shown in this image:

    Photo Booth camera

    (3) If the problem continues, use the relevant suggestions from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 to find and fix your problem.

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."

Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
