Hello, because I' using Rhino on my mac, I will have to upgrade to Yosemite by the end of this year. Current version of Rhino (WIP) will stop working on 12-31-2014. Moreover, I'm worried about compatibility on few key softwares like Adobe CS Pro 5.5, MS Office 14.4.5 but mostly LOTUS NOTES. Anybody running Lotus Notes 8.5.2 on Yosemite ?

IBM Notes 9.0.1 slipstream with 9.0.1 Fix Pack 2 or above is required for support. Prior releases, including Notes 8.5.x, are not supported.
Of course I didn't look at that before I upgraded. I have 8.5 installed and just upgraded to Yosemite. I get the login prompt when I start notes & that's it.
So, looks like I'm using iNotes for a bit.
Thanks Misterbl. I will seek now for the 9.0.1. Now, is it a single download to get 9.0.1 with Fix Pack 2 included or it is a 2 step process?

I am not entirely certain of that, but I would assume so. Unfortunately, I'm in a situation where I don't believe I can upgrade as my workplace has not updated our Domino infrastructure in years as they are trying to migrate us over to Outlook. I will be looking into it next week. If I get any new information, I'll share it here. If I don't respond, don't feel bad about reminding me.

Similar process here towards Outlook. But in my case, I think IT dept is up to date as for Domino infra.
On the other side, at may workplace, I'm the only Mac guy in a sea of PCs so it is more like a self-service support...

Update on using Lotus Notes 8.5.2 with Yosemite. I just finalize the Yosemite installation this morning. I launch Notes and there was an instruction window asking to install a "legacy" version of Java. I went to the suggested URL, followed instructions installing Java, (I'm not sure to where I stand as Java version installed on my computer as it seems to be the latest version and not a "legacy" version). Anyway, the good news are that Lotus Notes is fully functional under Yosemite.
Interesting, I did not get that popup. Based on your experience, I downloaded: Java for OS X 2014-001and installed it.
Now notes happily opens.
If your company uses JDE iseries Y2K version and modified it a lot - they may not have been able to update past version 5.4 of IBM OS - so not get new box. Some Windows IT leaders fell for the first blog posts that said JDE was moving away from Iseries -- not true -- JDE wanted users to update to the next version - finally gave in and issued fixes (This can be as little as one or two instructions that were replaced by more robust calls as its rare that IBM drops anything) that would allow that version of JDE to run under 6.1 operating system -- IBM kept up PTF support of 5.4 until this year - and slowed down the new OS releases - understanding (Apple and WIndows don't) that since 2008 many companies could not afford to upgrade their hardware for new OS. IBM still will help 5.4 users but no new fixes..
If you look at LotUs (now iBM notes) overviews - it is backward compatible so you do not have to keep redoing things - Same as their HLL's.
So your new head of IT is Windows centric and can't learn anything else.
