Why does Memory upgrade (Kingston 16gb) not work with my Macbook Pro 13" mid 2012?

Today I tried installing a newly bought Kingston 16 Gb Ram (Product ID: KVR16S11K2/16) on Macbook pro 2012 (mid) 13". It replaced my 4Gb Original Ram by Samsung (M471B5773DH0-CK0). I followed installation instructions given on apple support. Though many customers said 16 Gb is above recommended limit of Macbook, it should still work fine.

However, after 3 - 5 mins of rebooting and using macbook, the screen freezes with small bars of various color combinations (looks like frequency issue). When I reboot it, similar thing happens every 3 to 5 mins and it reboots.

What could be the problem?

- I have checked frequency - its 1600 MHz in both

- I've checked volt recommendation, Kingston is on 1.5V and Old Samsung is also on 1.5V.

What could have gone wrong?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10), non retina display
