Apple doesn't do trade-ins for products which are more than 14 days old.

No. Apple does not do trade-ins. You can sell yours and use the proceeds towards buying a new model. There are sites like Gazelle.com that will purchase it from you, but you would get more by selling it on your own.
my mac is a macbook pro early 2011
so what could i do
if i would like to get a newer one,
Thank you
Sell it to someone other than Apple and put the money you get towards a new one.

Precisely what you have already been told: sell it on eBay or through local advertising, and use the proceeds to buy a new one.
