You pair your Samsung S5 with Bluetooth settings in System Preferences making sure that you have Bluetooth switched on on your phone. When the phone shows up as connected in your Mac settings open Gallery on your Samsung S5 and then tick the pics you want to send or just tap a single one and at the top of the screen and a funny symbol with a small white circle with 2 arms coming out of it with small white circles on the end of those shows up with other symbols. Tap on the funny symbol and then select Bluetooth icon ( you sometimes have to scroll sideways to find the right page if there are a lot of things on your phone. When you tap on the Bluetooth symbol it will ask (if Bluetooth is not on) if you want to turn it on. Once you tap on that it goes to a screen with your Mac listed and you tap that and it sends the file to Downloads on your Mac.

As you what you want, to transfer data from Samsung to PC is actually a easy case. If you connect the device to the computer, some data would be read as a disk files so that you can move the data to PC with dragging. However, if you tend to transfer Samsung pictures to the Mac, you can use Samsung Kies to operate this issue and this software is designed by Samsung official company but not all data can be managed, so I think you can try Android Manager to switch the Samsung phone data and manage them.
