There's still something called SHORTCUTS (toggle on/off, on the list at the bottom of KEYBOARD) in iOS9, which I presume turns OFF the TEXT REPLACEMENT function. Or is it for something else? Did I miss something?
Description of what that switch does is right below the switch. If you double click keyboard space bar inside of text it creates period symbol and space.
For me two devices one on 9 one is 8 sync happens within minutes, but can be sped up by restart of device that need to be updated. Not enough time to verify zombies.
Too fast, they are back.

Sep 16, 2015 6:42 PM in response to rdub76by CheeHon,yes, the problem is there and I got no exact solution for you to remove them.
BUT what I do is, think more shortcut / text replacement, instead of creating them, edit from the old one. Because you can edit and replace them! =)
Hope it helps.

Sep 17, 2015 12:09 AM in response to Peter Oram1by pagemakers4,After carrying out the process on page 17 I have been zombie free for 5 months.
Yesterday I upgraded to iOS 9.
On 1 device I changed a shortcut. On 2 other devices it did not sync and on a third device it duplicated the shortcut.
Now it it would appear that deleting the duplication simply causes it to come back at some stage.
The iOS device that seems ok was updated via iTunes. The one that seems messed up was updated OTA. But who knows!
This really is a disaster of a screwup for so long.

Sep 17, 2015 12:47 AM in response to pagemakers4by HansWorldTravels,You all are very brave, updating to the newest iOS as soon as it comes out. Was there any mention this problem was going to be fixed? Hardly no different than past updates. If an updated didn't steal up so much memory and being unable to stop them from downloading to a device, I wouldn't update for at least a month after release or first Googling "problems with iOS xxxx" to see what new bugs are messing with people. And especially if I was not at home.... as iOS bugs have a way of really messing with a device at the most inopportune times.
No return of any [new (tests) or old] Zombies, but no sync of any new shortcuts either.

Sep 17, 2015 12:56 AM in response to HansWorldTravelsby pagemakers4,I was originally hoping my synching was down to the launch of iOS app and Apples servers being hammered. But a day later and the synching still hasn't resumed correctly. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Oh well it's only been a year now!

Sep 17, 2015 2:19 PM in response to pagemakers4by tingyu66,Hi pagemakers4, I read your post @page 17, thx for all these effort. I am at the step of deleting the "CoreDataUbiquitySupport” folder, but I havent find a software on mac which can delete that folder on my itunes backup. I tried icopybot, anytrans, phonerescue, ibackup extractor. None of these allows me to delete that folder. I am using a iphone 6 plus, mac with Yosemite. Would guide me how to delete that folder. I can use terminal. Thx

Sep 17, 2015 10:22 PM in response to tingyu66by Pickinic,NO, they shouldn't return now if all of the steps were followed.

Sep 19, 2015 4:08 AM in response to rdub76by gregory202,On one and only device I updated after initial zombies come back - edited still stay edited and no more sync. While update seems to fix initial problem for me my advice not to update - update created some bug for about 1 percent of users so Apple had to create new article.
If the Slide to Upgrade screen won't go away after you update to iOS 9 - Apple Support

Sep 19, 2015 9:52 AM in response to Peter Oram1by XianNewman,iOS 9 fixed this issue for me. After upgrade, the zombies were there. After waiting a few hours for indexing to settle down, I deleted them, and they haven't come back to any of my devices.
