I have 2 IPads containing identical information. How do I remove the info from just 1 of them so I can sell one?

While in France, my I-Pad malfunctioned and I ended up purchasing a mini I-Pad in order to find how to solve my problem. Because I was also having difficulties with e-mail and also not real tech savvy, I transferred everything to the mini I-Pad so that I now have two I-P ads with identical content. How can I erase everything from one but not both? I have a buyer for the mini but I don't want all my recipes, e-mail etc to remain on it but I want it to remain on my original I-Pad.

PLease help!

Thank you

The problem for me is that I think if I erase the contents from either I-pad, it will erase everything from both. If I delete an e-mail, it's automatically removed from the mini I-pad. ...same for any other items stored on my I-Pad. I don't know if it's related to registering or syncing or what. I really need to know how to make them separate entities so I can erase one and not the other
