I've been seeing something like this in recent days. Everything works fine for a while and then, typically when it wakes from sleep, things become unresponsive and unreliable. Forcing a restart is the only way I can restore normal function. Don't know what to try.

It would help us to help you if we could have some more technical info about your iMac.

If you like, please go ahead and download, install and run Etrecheck.

Etrecheck was developed as a simple Mac diagnostic report tool by a regular Apple Support forum user and technical support contributor named Etresoft. Etrecheck is a small, unobstrusive app that compiles a static snapshot of your entire Mac hardware system and installed software.

This is a free app that has been honestly created to provided help in diagnosing issues with Macs running the new OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

It is not malware and can be safely downloaded and installed onto your Mac.

    http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

Copy/paste and post its report here in another reply thread so that we have a complete profile of your Mac's hardware and installed software so we can all help with your Mac performance issues.

    Thank You.

Please start your own individual thread posting of your very own so all of the volunteers here can address your issues on an individualized basis.

Do not hijack someone else's post who is asking for and needs help for their own Mac issues and problems.

    Thank You.

Un-install CleanMyMac2 and RIM also sometimes causes problem.

Un-install using the developer’s instructions to make sure you remove all parts of the application.

You do not need to use cleaning programs. They can destroy your computer operation as they may already have done.

    CleanMyMac - Uninstall

    CleanMyMac2 Un-install

After un-installing, run this program to make sure you got all the pieces.

No hijacking intended just expressing solidarity. Don't worry, I will create a new thread after I've exhausted all my own troubleshooting possibilities.
