Pitchbend Limitation?

I can't seem to get GB to allow me a pitchbend greater than two semitones. Is this a limitation or am I missing something? If this is indeed a limitation, is there a work-around to create a portamento effect, one note sliding to another (in this case, distant) note?

Thanks in advance for the assist.

xs4is, thanks for the suggestion. As you stated, it may not be what I was looking for but it could be a suitable work-around for my current need.

Now, I must confess my ignorance and profess my newbyism: Can you expound a bit on where to download the AU plugin and how it installs? I'm only a very recent convert from the evil empire...

If your keyboard has the usual two wheels - pitch bend and modulation - and the ability to program the second wheel to send control messages, then program it to 128. This will enable you to use it to set the amount of pitch bend - hold a note, apply maximum downward pitch bend with wheel 1, and then move wheel 2. The note you hear will go down in pitch rapidly as you move wheel 2 off its bottom position - in fact it will disappear! I usually set it to a fourth if I want corny trombone slurs. The track you are working on will hold the amount of bend, but if you reset the keyboard and open a new track you will be back with 2 semitones.

(Incidentally 7 will program it to change the volume on the selected track, and 10 the pan. Use 1 to go back to modulation. I don't think any other numbers will do you any good, and keep off 120-127 in any case as you may cause problems).
