Q: Can I refurbish my old ibook laptop?

I have an old ibook laptop (from 2005) that I'm considering refurbishing for my daughter to use for middle school. Is this possible and affordable?

If it's this one:
http://lowendmac.com/2005/12-1-33-ghz-ibook-g4-mid-2005/
and it has enough RAM it will work OK. I used G4 iBooks at a charter school and the kids used them for Garage Band. Browsers might be problematic.
