How do I force audio out my MacBook's internal speakers?

The tip of a headphone jack is broken off in my MB. I've tried all manner of things to remove it, and wound up supergluing it in there 😟

I'd like to force sound out the internal speakers, but the speaker icon is greyed out and the internal speakers aren't presented as a routing option within preferences/sound or the audio/midi devices. Resetting the PRAM didn't change anything.

I'm going to order an USB audio interface, but would still like the option of playing sound out my internal speakers. The speakers still produce the startup sound when rebooting. Please help!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
