Can't access netscape 7.0.2 email history using OS9

Apparently Netscape has recently made major changes in its email service for Mac OS 9 users. When I try to access my Netscape email account I get a page which states that only OS 10.3.7 or Safari 1.3 or Firefox 1.5 (which require OS 10) is approved for Mac users. I only have OS9.2.2 available on my bondi-blue iMac and would like at least to get access to the information on the email account I have used for years. As far as I know Netscape did not warn Mac OS 9 users of this change.
Can anyone suggest how I might try to access my "old" email info. without upgrading to OS10?? My attempts to get more info.from Netscape have been unsuccessful. Any ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks for reading this.

Can you please provide the URL and/or link of this page?
I could not find no such page on Netscape's v7.0.2 site regarding any changes to their emails.

How are you accessing Netscape's email? Netscape has 2 kinds.
Are you clicking on the envelope icon at the bottom left corner of the window?

Or are you accessing Netscape's web mail?

Exactly what do you mean by email "history"? Have you checked Netscapes Mail Folder which is inside the System Folder>Preferences Folder?

Boomer - The page address I get when I hit "check mail" under 'my services' OR 'web mail' in the gray toolbar is........
http://mail.netscape.com/20221/aol/en-usa
When mentioned 'history' I really meant my old netscape inbox where I had retained a number of messages plus any new messages which may have come in To further confuse things., I tried to set up a new mailbox in the hope that my old messages would show up, They did not. I access this new mailbox by clicking the gray 'mail' envelope on the toolbar (not web mail). In testing this new box I find I can send messages FROM it, but cannot receive messages TO it.When I send to it (fromOE) I get the message "The PASS command did not succeed. Mail server SMTP responded: invalid user name or password"
.............Note: the new mailbox is not real important to me. My interest is in the messages left in my old inbox. Hope the above mess makes some sense to you. Thanks for your help.

In the link which you provided I noted it took me to AOL's email troubleshooting site. Is AOL your ISP? Did you try the suggestions on their troublshooting site?

Regarding the messesages you cannot retrieve from your Inbox, see if "Compacting" the emails helps. It's been awhile but, to do this, open up Netscape's email>File>Compact. Hopefully, a knowledgeable user who is still using Netscape v7.0.2 will correct me if I am wrong.

Suggest that you also check out Netscape's Mail Help. There is a lot of useful info in there.
