I dont know how I ended up with a username that advertises both my name and city of residence (I would never choose such a name if I knew it would be posted publicly), but for privacy reasons I'd like to set my forum username to something that isn't so personal. Searching the forums has led me to believe that there is no way for users to do this, but that mods might be able to assist me. How can I contact a moderator to request a change of username?

Not at all sure that was the intent as the post that was removed implied that poster will take care of the name change requests of the other posters ("we can take care of that"). I considered all of them to be something else.

I saw it too... shannon has been "cuttin' up" a bit - benefit of the doubt is "noob etiquette mistakes" -- at first I thought she was a kid - she posted "her(?)" email address(removed by Host) that led to a 60s flower child on MySpace with the same first name

You've just replied to a two-year old post in this thread as if that post had been addressed to you. That isn't an appropriate way to use these boards. This thread has a fairly clear purpose which is to handle the requests of those who want to change their usernames on this site. If you have a different issue please start a new thread in the most relevant forum. Thanks.

Same thing here -- my community 'username' is set as my full name, which I cannot change and do not want shown for privacy concerns.

I need to change my developer forums username. I inadvertently used a personal username for a company account. I didn't realize I was signed in as the company account.
Developer forums are completely separate from these USER forums
