Q: Change Forum Username

too true.

I think we have picked up a few new 'glitches du jour' as well.

You know my advice for fixing all of these... start over from scratch with the current "Apple Statement of Work" to avoid bringing the ailments forward in buggy code.

I would like to change my username please. I did not pay attention when the box asked for a user name. I clicked a Google like and just filled the box in with the first thing that came to mind. Could you please alert the hosts?

Here's yet another username change request. I'd prefer if my full name wasn't displayed when making posts (which it has been doing since I joined in 2001…). I'd rather user ”star-affinity” which is what I use elsewhere on the webb, plus it closely resembles my email address…

What is the average time to receive a response for the name change? I'm not sure how I will be contacted or what the notice will look like but I would like my user name to become "gsmornot"

As we are all other users here, we have no idea how fast or even if the hosts will contact you.

The only thing anyone here can do is to report your request to the hosts. After that, it is their decision on how to proceed.

Before I report this anomaly to our gracious Hosts, please verify that you logged in with your Primary Email Address & Password you have always used for the Apple ID UserName " senfinger " - Join Date July 11, 2015 - AND that it displayed Senfinger1 (Join Date TODAY January 18, 2016) instead with no other actions

I would recommend logging out of Senfinger1 > login again as you normally would for senfinger - then, if joy with senfinger, we will write it off to a VERY weird forum glitch (still reporting it though)

Report back here either way, and I will pull the trigger on the report

I believe it was senfinger with a number on the end... orig- been over 6 months or so since logging in... (I only do when I have a weird Apple isse = )

a search will display results for " senfinger " with ANY suffix here > https://discussions.apple.com/people?query=senfinger&sortKey=all~UserNameAsc&sortOrder=1

there are No Results, so " senfinger " must have a user preference "Online Visibility"  switched OFF > https://discussions.apple.com/user-preferences!input.jspa (this ONLY affects the People Search as far as I can tell)

I wish to change my username as it appears in Apple Support Communities.  It currently shows my initials and full last name and which also happens to be contained in my e-mail address.  I do not want to change, delete, or add any new accounts, information, ID's, etc.  Please graciously submit a request on my behalf.  Thank you in advance for your efforts.
