Q: Change Forum Username

I want to change my Support Community nickname.

Please I want this support Communities nickname like the one for developers Which is: matiasmartino

From matiasmartino to mjsorribas.

You will need to ask this of the Hosts IN the developers' area - there is a forum here in ASC, but it would already show your UserName as you wish

Developer Forums (is different than any Developer PROGRAM separate community where matiasmartino would show up)

Same here, I've got an account for at least 14 years and my user name now lists my location, I'm not so keen on that. Also, I used to reply to posts and it seems all this records have been wiped out, I'm now back to zero while I had over 30 useful replies, not many or that it matters but I find it odd that it happened.

Odd, I see you joined in 2011 but the only visible activity on your account is from today. Do you have more than one Apple ID in use?

I'll ask the hosts to make contact regarding the name.

If our gracious hosts could possibly be alerted by some kind soul, I would be most grateful, for I would very much like to change my username. As it is currently both personally identifying and inadvertently misleading.

Not really sure how the username I see for you is either personally identifying (except possibly to people who recognize your dog or in what way it could be considered misleading (it's okay if you're a dog on the internet ). But, I've reported it to the Hosts.

Speaking of the dog avatar... that is a random-intemittent forum glitch that has gone un-remedied for a LONG time. It occurs for some Level 1 (maybe even Level 2, but cannot test) when they merely upload a Primary Profile pic. The AJW just "does it automatically" with no action by the user required. I tested this on an Apple ID with which I never participate here in ASC. When I attempted to mickey with the avatar on the Picture / Avatar page, it went away!

The hard part about fixing these kind of glitches? They are not reproduce-able due to their random / intermittent nature!

But leave the dog avatar !!  This glitch has for the purposes of the "Change Forum User Name Forum" been declared an especial feature available to Level 1 users only.

1000% agree - I learned the hard way to not mickey with "the GIFT"

- even though one cannot have more than 100% OF a thing - a balloon pops when capacity is exceeded!
