Q: Change Forum Username

Same question here - I created the ID 8 years ago - and have not posted in the last 7 years - but for some reason now my forum name now displays my full name.

I dont want to change my AppleID - just my forum display name.

I have reported this post as well... normally "user names" cannot be changed, but if what you say is true, this indicates something is amiss behind the curtain.

Also same question here. I created this username a few years back and for some (big) privacy concerns, I'd really like to change it to something else.

I understand there aren't ways to change it from the user side, but are there any ways a moderator could help me with it?

I have had my account for 2 years but it has only now come to my attention that my display username contains my real name. I would also like to know how to modify my forum username for privacy reasons. Could somebody please assist?

You're welcome. I believe the host will contact you by email as to what you would like it changed to.

Out of curiosity:

You and a couple of other posters have stated that your username is your full name?

No one here sees anything but - in this case: cc453 - your username. Your Apple ID (which is your email address) is visible only to you unless you wish to reveal it. If you click on your name/avatar, you can choose 'edit profile and privacy'.

This info is necessary for Apple to be able to identify you as you.

If you will then choose Privacy Settings, you can choose to display as much or as little info you you want:

For instance, I've chosen not to reveal anything; in that case, the only thing showing is my username which is displayed. My full name/email are only displayed to myself and Apple.

Need to change mine (this) as well as I was logged in to wrong Apple account. As a developer, I sometimes have access to customer's... :/
