Apple Pay refund notification issue

I used Apple Pay for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it worked as promised. Yesterday, after returning to Macys what i had purchased, I noticed my iPhone getting the message—Citi Refund, Macy’s. As far as i can see the message has been reappearing every 15 seconds for the last 5 hours. The problem is that if the Transaction button is on, the iPhone continues to turn on.

Does anyone know what’s causing the problem?
