From time to time I like to connect my iPad 2 (running iOS 8.1) to my Zagg Bluetooth Keyboard. I also have SwiftKey installed (since 8.0).
The problem is that I cannot make the software keyboard disappear when the hardware keyboard is attached. The software keyboard needlessly takes up a lot of space on my screen, and I can't seem to make it go away.
Am I missing something?

Tap the globe icon on the Swiftkey keyboard. Slide your finger up to your normal keyboard. Release finger then tap the tiny keyboard in the lower right to make the keyboard go down..
Thank you, Bob. This didn't work at first, but after I turned the hardware keyboard off and on once, then it worked just as you say.
Odd that the down arrow on SwiftKey doesn't appear to do anything.
