Hi Larry, I had upgraded to OS X 10.10 but had too many problems so I returned to OS X10.9.5.
I can't tell what version of iPhoto I have but when I try to open I get error message:
You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X
You have OS 10.9.5. The application requires OS 10.10 or later."
I don't want OS10.10, too many problems, so I need a version of iPhoto that will work with OS X 10.9.5. So far it looks like iPhoto is the only app that has this problem.

If iPhoto 9.5. does not show on your Purchases page at the AppStore, when you are signed in from your Mavericks system, you cannot download it. Older apps will only show on the Purchased tab, if you bought that version.
try to restore iPhoto 9.5 from a TimeMachine backup you made, before you upgraded to Yosemite.
