Q: thunderbolt display won't turn on after sleep w/ Yosemite
I have one of the original LCD Thunderbolt displays. It's connected to a Mid 2011 Mac Mini. While running Mountain Lion and Mavericks, the display would randomly not turn on...nor is it recognized by the OS (similarly, any USB devices are not seen by the mac mini while it's in this state) This really only happened once every couple months. I'm able to get the monitor to be recognized by unplugging the thunderbolt connector for a few seconds, or by disconnecting the power cable to the monitor for a few seconds.
Immediately after upgrading to Yosemite, the problem happens much more frequently. The thunderbolt display will not turn on anytime the computer goes to sleep. I decided I'd just make my computer never go to sleep. That has reduced, but not fully solved the problem. Anyone else having/had similar issues with Yosemite? Any resolutions?
I also have an HDMI display connected and never have an issue with it.
