Hi Go to Settings Reset to Factory settings If you use the same Apple ID you will get all your Apps & data back If you are going to sell you're iphone Before you do this reset in settings turn off find my iPhone. This will make iphone like new for new user. Cheers Brian
I can't even get back to the Settings screen/home page. My phone is locked on the "Choose a Language" screen.
I bought a new iPhone 5s and I am trying to set-up the new phone and perform the back-up from iCloud on my home computer but I receive a message saying that the new phone can't perform the function because it doesn't have the latest update. My iPhone 4s has the latest update.
Are you not able to choose a language?
You can restore it from iTunes if need be.
If the iPhone 5s has a previous version and the backup is of an iPhone 4S with later version, you will need to update the "recipient" (5s) iPhone with the latest version. Restore the new 5s by restoring as new via iTunes, and that will install the latest iOS on the 5s. You can then install the backup.
