Can you create playlist folders on ipod classic?

Question

Can you create playlist folders on ipod classic?

I'm trying to organize playlists for my music history course on my ipod classic. My ipod classic is one of the last generation. I can create the folder but I cannot seem to drag existing playlists into it.

iPod classic 160GB (Late 2009), Windows 8

You cannot create a Playlist folder "on the iPod Classic". So if you have managed to do so, please explain how so that I can try it.
You can create a Playlist folder in your iTunes Library and add both regular and smart Playlists to that folder.
You can then Sync the Playlist folder to an iPod Classic in just the same way as a Playlist.
You cannot add songs directly to a Playlist folder, even in iTunes.
