Is Magic Mouse meant to have a glowing light underneath?

My Magic Mouse is rather erratic and jerky. Through the small aperture on the undersurface, next to the switch, I can see two small bulb like structures but I don't see any glowing light/laser. Should these be glowing? Thanks.

You should have a stable GREEN glowing light if your battery is properly connected. No green light normally suggests the batteries are the first place to check.

Turn off the mouse with the small switch next to the sensor. Remove the Battery cover. Take out the batteries and examine the terminals for soiling of any kind. Clean thoroughly. Check the connection points inside the battery compartment for similar soiling and clean thoroughly.

Replace batteries and cover and switch on. The light will flicker. Click your mouse twice. If there is still no light replace the batteries with GOOD QUALITY batteries, Energiser, Apple, Duracell or Eneloop.

Then try again.
