Q: Java Runtime Environment startup message

As I mentioned in my last post, the Facebook.videochat plug-in has been identified as the issue by a number of other users with your problem and Apple's Java installer as a solution.

 

MacKeeper is a separate and more serious problem.

    OK, well done.

    There are some things that don't deserve the beauty prize , but they probably don't cause any problems.

    Still slow? it seems that a lot of people using this first release of Yosemite solve this by disabling Encryption. Try it to see if that helps.

    Well, it's not slow by comparison to my other (older) Macs, but with the work I do any speed increase is a good thing. I'll give that a try too.

    Security in SystemPreferences (turn off File Vault).

    Stay here as long as you like or find necessary
