Isn't there an apple page for compatibility, at least among apple products? I understand that once the install is underway there is a screen that lists applications that are not compatible i wonder if at that point you can not install Yosemite or do you have to suffer the additional work of repurchasing software. I'm mainly concerned about FCPx 10.1.3 and Motion 5 5.1.2

Apple does not even tell you when they have stopped supporting a level of OS with security updates.

They leave it on you to check if all the software you are running can work with the new release - and you are suppose to know that you need to do that.

Look at the Software companies site to see if it is compatible with Yosemite.

They both work with Yosemite.

Compressor 4.1.3 works with Yosemite. Don't know about CS6. CC2014 does.

Dunno about CS6 but Compressor is fine.
