All I get when opening is a circle with 5 JKL. Then the screen goes blank. I can not restart or reset including via ITunes

HAppened to me! My iphone 6 + was really hot & I could not power it off and get back to main normal screen. I even had my boyfriend call my phone. Couldn't answer. All I could see is a huge circle with 5 JKL. The ONLY thing that worked was this:

-USE 3 fingers and tap twice on the screen

Very annoying huh? What's the reason for it?

To all suffers from "5jkl" this solution works - 2 taps with three fingers!

You need to double-tap the screen with three fingers...not triple-tap the screen with one (or two) fingers.

The same thing happened to me on my new iPhone 6+. Verizon chat helped me, because I had no phone I used my Ipad

(which should have a phone).

Instead of the circle and number 5 with the JKL letters why couldn't they put some text in the circle and tell you what to do?

YYou have only zoomed in on your keyboard. Tap the screen three times to return to normal.

I just update and I'm also having the 5jkl problem. Tapping the screen three times is not working. Any other potential fixes?

Hi Try a reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo Hold down for upto, 50 Seconds. If this doesn't work it could be a hardware fault. Take to apple store ring to make an appointment. Cheers Brian
