Q: i phone auto starts when i plug into usb in car

the I phone music starts playing when i just plug the phone into the USB port in the car.  How do i stop that.  is it a car software issue or an iphone issue?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1

    Hey there MORGRM,

     

    It sounds like your phone just starts playing music automatically every single time you connect it to the USB port in your vehicle. We should be able to troubleshoot the software on the phone to help you isolate it to the phone or the vehicle. Start by quitting the running apps on your phone with this article:

     

    iOS: Force an app to close

    Double-click the Home button.

    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

     

    Swipe the app up to close it.

     

    When you have done that restart the phone  and test the issue again:

    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
